The origin
For years, the question I receive most often is "how did you get here?" The answer doesn't fit in a conversation or an interview.
This digital audiovisual presentation was created to answer that question honestly: showing the path, the references, the aesthetic decisions and the thinking that built The Aesthetics of Childhood from its first intuitions to the series it is today.
"I find in the aesthetics of childhood the most perfect and universal way to talk about the human being." — César Guerrero

Content
A sequence of video modules and narrated slides, organised so that anyone — regardless of their level of knowledge of art — can follow the thread and understand not just the work, but the thinking behind it.
01

03
Visual analysis of both the author's works and historical references: anatomy, light, composition, and the formal language underpinning each piece.
04
Why childhood as a concept, what each visual element symbolises, and how to read the work beyond its surface appearance.
Who is it for?
An original proposition
"Many artists have portrayed children in their work. I have studied their creations, and some have earned my unreserved admiration. Yet there is something fundamentally different about what I have done."
One of the fundamental purposes of this presentation is to place on public record an aesthetic and conceptual proposition without precedent in art history: the systematic and deliberate use of childhood iconography as a system of philosophical and visual thought.
There exists no series in world art that has built, with this level of coherence and rigour, a conceptual language based on childhood as a total metaphor for the human being.
